Description
A press photo of a gypsy camp in Los Angeles, California. 14 October 1924. The elevated view of the camp shows five tents and four cars with several people standing outside of a tent and looking at the camera. There are crop marks at the top of the image. Infomation on the back indicates that two gypsy bands were under police surveillance because the bands were fighting with one another due to the abduction of 17 year old Rosie Mitchell, a Romany princess. With some warping at the top and left side, abrasions on edges, staining, and soiling on the reverse, the object is in good condition overall.
