A head-shot studio portrait of Caroline E. Harris by George Steckel, Los Angeles, 1890s. The image shows Harris looking off to her left and reveals her hair pulled up into a bun. She has a high-neck blouse with a brooch or some other decorative piece at the front. While there are abrasions, a small stain and some soiling, they don't materially affect the image and there is significant abraded areas on the back that partially obscure the inscription that gives the young woman's name and Pasadena address. The general condition, however, is good.
