Description

Color: Black; White A stereoview, "A Home in Southern California," published by C. F. Rice of Chicago, ca. 1890s. The image shows a young boy in a suit and hat, pulling a smaller child in a wagon. They are posed next to what appears to be a well. In the area is wood fencing, three palm trees and, at the left, a wooden shed or garage. There is, however, no evidence of a home in the image. In the background are a variety of trees. At the bottom of the left image is the title and the publisher's name is at the far right margin. With a crease at the bottom left corner, heavy soiling, some discoloration and fading of the images, light moisture damage, stains and some tears and flaking of the paper, the overall condition is fair.
