Description
A lantern slide of the interior of the Mission San Gabriel, T. H. McAllister, New York, ca. 1900s. The view is from a little less than halfway back from the altar and shows it, the sanctuary around the altar, the lectern to the left, and the raised pulpit at the right. Paintings are hung on the walls on both sides and pews on either side of the wide center aisle. In addition to McAllister's label, which titles the slide "11178 Old Mission, San Gabriel, Cal.,' there is anoter from a stereopticon supplier in Boston. The paper border is abraded and rubbed, but the condition appears good.
