Description
A large-format cabinet card photograph of the main parlor of the Riedeman, Meyer and Company funeral home, Vincent, Los Angeles, ca. 1902. The business was located at 1430 S. Main St. The structure's parlor has a raised platform at the back and arm and side chairs, a lectern, and potted plant on a stand and, behind a wood-framed entry a pipe organ, among other details. On the reverse is a label for the photographer with his photo, an image of a camera and his address. The firm opened the business about 1902 and the structure looks new. Later, one of the Riedermans took over the firm and remained in the business for several decades. With a small stain or two on the image, light soiling and minor rubbing, the condition is good overall.
