Description
A large-format cabinet photograph of the S.O. Paul family in front of a house in Los Angeles, ca. 1900s. The image is taken from the road or sidewalk just to the left of the structure, in front of which is a man and four children, while a woman sits on the wall of the porch. To the left is a wood trellis over the dirt drive leading to the rear of the property. There is a lawn, and a walkway to the front steps, a palm tree in the front yard and other landscaping around the dwelling. The home still stands at 1676 W. 23rd Street. With most of the matte missing, heavy damage to most of the rest, soiling to the image, and an abrasion spot at the left, the overall condition is poor. The photo is in fair condition with moderate discoloration, stains, and fading.
