Description

A snapshot of a large home in Los Angeles, F. Morrison Boyd, 1925. The structure, as photographed from the street, is a large two-story Spanish Colonial Revival home with a projecting one-story section at the right. Some of the landscaping, including lawns and trees, bushes and shrubs are in view and sprinklers are running. On the reverse is a pencil inscription, "A style of the / larger homes / Los Angeles." Boyd, a road scout for the American Automobile Association, was on a 37,000-mile trip through the U.S., Mexico and Canada. With significant fading (or underexposure of the negative) and some soiling, the condition is fair.
