Description
A letter (a) and envelope (b) from Agricultural Chemical Works, Los Angeles, 1 November 1899. The item is to a Mr. Laws, superintendent of the Haas, Baruch and Company (formerly Hellman, Haas and Company and now Smart and Final) ranch and is for an order of 4,000 pounds of fertilizer for apricots and peaches with a notation that L. Baruch, the company secretary and treasurer, was planning to go to the ranch to demonstrate the experimental material. With some stains, soiling, original folds and a few creases, the overall condition is good.
