Description
A letter (a) and envelope (b) from Christian Walter to Walter P. and Laura G. Temple, 14 May 1918. The missive is written on the letterhead of a Milwaukee piano and furniture moving company, but is from the man who bought the Temple Homestead in 1912. After mentioning the Temples' recent change in fortune with oil on their Montebello Hills land, Walter talked about moving to California and asking about opportunities for work. With folds, an edge tear and light soiling, the condition is fair, as is the envelope with creases, soiling, and wear.
