Description

A letter (a) and envelope (b) from the Hotel Van Nuys, Los Angeles, 31 May 1909. The letter has the hotel name, location and a vignette of the six-story structure at the top, along with the owning company's name. The same information is provided on the envelope in a different design. The letter appears to be from a temporary resident to a friend in her hometown of Portland, Oregon. The letter has original folds and soe soiling, while the envelope has browning, tears, creases, soiling and rubbing, so the overall condition is good.
