Description

A letter (a) and envelope (b) from Villa Tafoya Crabtree to Laura Gonzalez Temple, 19 January 1907. The writer, whose mother was a Quintero from San Gabriel and whose father was a New Mexican born sheepherder for the Bixby family at Rancho Los Alamitos, refers to Laura as a cousin, but it is not yet known how they were related. The missive concerns family news and references to wet weather in the Wilmington area where Crabtree lived. With folds, light browning, a few small stains and creases, the letter is good, while the envelope, with more creases and stains, is fair.
