Description

A letter and envelope from Luther A. Ingersoll in Los Angeles, California to Walter P. Temple in Alhambra, California, 17 September 1921. The letterhead shows that Ingersoll was with the Historical Collection of the Los Angeles Public Library. In the two page, handwritten letter (a-b), Ingersoll apologizes for not seeing Temple the night prior, but intends to see him either Monday or Tuesday evening. Ingersoll explains that there is another person who may help him complete the Temple story manuscript, and that he wanted to introduce this person to Mr. Woodruff. With moderate discoloration, moderate creases, and a moderate tear which has been nonprofessionally mended with an adhesive sticker, the object is in fair to poor condition overall. The envelope (c) has minor acid burns and a tear along the top side. It is in good to fair condition overall.
