A letter, card, and envelope from Perry Worden in Pasadena, California to Thomas W. Temple II in Santa Clara, California, postmarked February 1926. In the typwritten response letter (a), Worden emphasizes that he is very busy but has tried his best to help Temple with his paper on William Rowland. Worden explains that he has enclosed an L.A. Times article about Rowland and would like it returned once Temple has made use of it. Worden then reports that he will continue reaching out to "Miss Workman" but that "at least one of her brothers" thinks unfavorably about the Temple family. Worden then discusses the planning which must be finalized by the Temples if he is to join them on their trip to England. In a handwritten note at the top of the page, Worden suggests a time for Temple to write him again. With creases, minor acid burns, and minor discoloration, the object is in good condition overall.
A seperate card (b) paired with the letter reads "Hurrah / for the R.C. Cardinal / this critique / on prohibition / should help a bit."
Although the envelope (c) is postmarked, it was double-stamped, which makes the exact date hard to discern (most likely 10 February 1926). With minor acid burns, minor foxing, minor stains, a dogeared corner, and a tear along its right side, the envelope is in fair condition overall.Lexicon
