A typed letter on letter head from Alphonso Moore. The letter from A. Moore, is proposing a trade of a 10 acre Valencia Orange grove in Placentia for Mrs. Scharenberg's property in Whittier. The property in Placentia is 300 yards from the Womans Club House, has a new bungalow, 2 acres of Navel Oranges that are 5 and 6 years old. The property is worth $25,000 and has about $11,000 still left to pay. The terms are 2 to 3 thousand a year with nothing due till October 1916. Mr. Moore knows that if Mrs. Scharenberg can afford to handle the grove then she will be taken care of.
The top left corner reads "Alphonso Moore / Attorney and Counselor at Law / 114 East Philadelphia St. / Whittier, California." The top right corner gives the phone number of 66.
There are heavy creases from the letter being folded, an acid burn on the top, discoloration on the right side, foxing on the right side, and the back has abrasion damage along the folds. This object is in fair condition overall.
