Description

A letter from A.M. Chidester in Whittier, California to Edwin G. Hart in Los Angeles, California. 18 July 1914. A written letter on letterhead from the Los Angeles County Horticultural Commission. A.M. Chidester has inspected North Whittier Heights. He has found that the one year groves are badly infested with scale. The newly planted groves have trees here and there that have been infested with scale. Suggest the purchasers get together to determine a plan of attack. The top center gives the name and commission location. It reads "Los Angeles County / Horticultural Commission / Hall of Records, Ninth Floor / Home Phone 60831 - Sunset Main 2300." Under this gives the city of Los Angeles, Cal., which has been crossed out and Whittier has been written in. The top left gives the commissioners name and the top right gives the name of the Deputy. There are creases from the letter being folded, glue has browned along the top edge, brown spots on the right side, foxing on the left side, and the back has abrasion damage along the folds. This object is in fair condition overall.
