Description
A letter from Albert N. Chamness in Richmond, Indiana to Grover T. Russell in Los Angeles, California. 3 April 1917. A two page, handwritten letter on a letterhead for the Office of Treasurer of Wayne County, though the text has a partial strikethrough. Mr. Chamness explains that he has not been out to see the tract of land that is south of North Whittier Heights because he has been preoccupied with the sale of his property. Mr. Chamness states that he will not be out to the tract before June 15th, and asks if the land will be on the market by that time. Mr. Chamness also implies that he may have trouble caring for more property as he recently acquired 24 acres of walnut land. Mr. Chamness concludes by asking if the citrus association will still be accepting new members when he arrives in June. With creases, rust stains, discoloration, and early signs of foxing, the object is in good condition overall.
