Description
A letter from an author unknown to W.J. Hewitt in Rialto, California. 2 August 1916. The author is responding to a letter that Mr. Hewitt addressed to Edwin G. Hart (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1151). The author clarifies that the two advertisements which were enclosed with the letter refer to two separate properties. For the North Whittier Heights property, the author states that the prices of the unplanted lands range from $300 to $800 per acre while the planted lands range from $775 to $1100 per acre. For the Puente-Covina foothills, the author states that land can be purchased for $250 per acre if the co-operative deal goes through. The author offers to show Mr. Hewitt either property at his request. With a rust stain and minor foxing, the object is in good condition overall.
