Description

A letter from an unknown author from the Whittier Extension Company in Los Angeles, California to Mr. Allsbrau in Melrose, Minnesota, 30 July 1913. A descriptive folder of North Whittier Heights is being sent to Mr. Allsbrau, which includes a map of Southern California showing the location of the property and a map showing the subdivided plots. Land has been divided into 5 to 50 acre tracts and costs $500 to $900 an acre with cheaper land needing leveling before planting. Several acres have been planted with citrus and these are being sold at 5 acres and up. A list of buyers is given so Mr. Allsbrau can contact to see how good the land is. The number 6 is written in pencil and circled in top left corner. With tears, a piece missing, a crease, folds, early stages of foxing, water damage, and the pages glued together at the top, the object is in fair overall condition.
