Description

A letter from an unknown author in Los Angeles, California to J.A. Otto in San Bernardino, California. 14 February 1916. A typed, two page draft letter. The author confirms that Mr. Otto's earlier letter regarding the walnut groves in the North Whittier Heights subdivision (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1011) has been received and that he will be sent a descriptive folder of the property. The author explains that the prices of the walnut groves range from $700 to $850 per acre. The author also gives details about the subdivision's water stocks, water system, and roads. The author outlines the terms of sale for the property but mentions that more bearing walnut groves are available in other sections. The author offers to take Mr. Otto out to the North Whittier Heights subdivision at his request. The final draft of this letter is available (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1017). With adhesive in the top left corner which is holding the document together, minor acid burns, an ink stain, a strikethrough, typed revisions, and a moderate tear on the first page, the object is in good condition overall.
