A draft letter from an unknown author in Los Angeles, California to W.S. Matthews in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, 18 July 1913. Responding to Mr. Matthews' request (object number 2017.41.1.129) a descriptive folder of North Whittier Heights is being sent, which includes a map of Southern California showing the location of the property, a map showing the subdivided plots, and articles on the soil, water, location and more. Land has been divided into 5 to 50 acre tracts and cost $500 to $900 an acre with cheaper land needing leveling before planting. Mr. Matthews should act fast, as most land should be sold by 1914. There are corrections in pencil throughout and the number 2 is circled in the top left. With discoloration, creases, and the top of the pages glued together, the object is in good overall condition.
