A letter from an unknown author of the Whittier Extension Company in Los Angeles, California to F.E. Mears in Long Beach, California, 18 July 1913. Responding to Mr. Mears' request (object number 2017.41.1.138), a descriptive folder of North Whittier Heights is being sent, which includes a map of Southern California showing the location of the property, a map showing the subdivided plots, and articles on the soil, water, location, and more. Land has been divided into 5 to 50 acre tracts and cost $500 to $900 and acre with cheap land needing leveling before planting. There are corrections in pencil throughout and the number 1 is circled in the top left corner. With an acid burn, dog-eared corners, wear, discoloration, a piece missing and the top of the pages glued together, the object is in good overall condition.Lexicon
