Description
A letter from an unknown author of the Whittier Extension Company in Los Angeles, California to James Edgar in Los Angeles, California, 11 August 1913. Responding to Mr. Edgar's request (object number 2017.41.1.155) a descriptive folder of North Whittier Heights is being sent, which includes a map of Southern California showing the location of the property, a map showing the subdivided plots, a booklet on tropical fruits, and articles on soil, water and climatic conditions. Land has been divided into 1.5 to 20 acre tracts and costs $500 to $800 an acre with planted avocado land being an extra $250 an acre. Loan terms are given. With the pages being glued together along the top, a brown spot, creases, a tear, and discoloration, the object is in good overall condition.
