Description
A letter from an unknown author of the Whittier Extension Company in Los Angeles, California to L. Hargrove in Prescott, Arizona, 22 August 1913. Responding to Mr. Hargrove's request (object number 2017.41.1.183) a descriptive folder of North Whittier Heights and a booklet on sub-tropical fruits are being sent. The author recommends that he plant dates on his land in Arizona instead of avocados, as avocados need sub-tropical conditions but will provide avocado trees if that is what he really wants to plant. With warping, browning, a piece missing, and discoloration, the object is in good overall condition.
