Description

A letter from an unknown author of the Whittier Extension Company to J.H. Vickery in Pasadena, California. 1 December 1913. A typed letter in response to a letter that J.H. Vickery mailed a while before the author responded. He writes that he misplaced the letter regarding North Whittier Heights and therefore failed to answer it. The author is now mailing a descriptive folder which will include a map of the subdivided tracts, a map of Southern California which shows the exact location of the property, as well as articles on the soil, water, climatic conditions and general terms of sale. The owners of the North Whittier Heights tracts do not build houses, barns, etc. or rent the land. Tracts are sold at 5 acres and up and planted land, planted with oranges, lemons or grapefruit, are sold on the same terms as unplanted lands. The terms are 1/5 cash, 1/5 in 2 years and the balance in 5 years. This land is great for citrus fruits as well as all kinds of vegetables and poultry. Many who have bought the land are successful citrus men proving that the land pays. The author closes the letter by inviting Mr. Vickery out to the property if he is still interested and in the market. There is discoloration an all sides and an acid burn is visible on the back. This object is in good condition overall.
