Description
A letter from an unknown author of Whittier Extension Company in Los Angeles, California to W. Q. Lee in Atlanta, Nebraska, 6 August 1913. Responding to Mr. Lee's request (object number 2017.41.1.45) a descriptive folder of North Whittier Heights is being sent, which includes a map of Southern California showing the location of the property, a map showing the subdivided plots, and articles on the soil, water, location and more. Land has been divided into 5 to 50 acre tracts and costs $500 to $900 an acre with cheaper land needing leveling before planting. A list of buyers is given so he can contact them if he has questions on how good the land is. The Whittier Extension Company will not exchange his two homes for land in North Whittier Heights but they may be able to exchange for land elsewhere. With the top of the pages glued together, holes from a straight pin, and damage, the object is in good overall condition.
