Description
A letter from an unknown author to A.A. Bohuert in New York, NY on 28 August 1914.
A typed, 2 page letter in response to a postcard (object number 2017.41.1.588) requesting information on North Whittier Heights. A descriptive folder was mailed under a separate cover. Unplanted land has been divided into tracts of 5 to 50 acres and costs $400 to $800 an acre. Several acres have been planted to oranges, lemons, grapefruit, and walnuts and has been divided into 5, 10, 15, and 20 acre tracts and are being sold for $700 to $1025 an acre. With the completion of Turnbull Canyon Road and the townside, the demand for and value of land in North Whittier Heights will increase. Some of the most successful citrus growers have invested in the property showing the merit of the land. The author then lists people who have bought in North Whittier Heights and invites Mrs. Bohuert to write them regarding the merit of the land and reputation of the company. The letter is closed by inviting Mrs. Bohuert out to see the property, should she be in California and to provide any information needed.
The pages have been glued together in the top left corner, and discoloration on the top and right side. Page 1 has many tears along the right side. This object was in good condition overall.
