Description
A letter from an unknown author to A.F. Rice in Huntington Beach, California. 26 October 1914. A letter in response to a letter (object number 2017.41.1.643) requesting information on North Whittier Heights. A descriptive folder was mailed under a separate cover letter. Unplanted land has been divided into 5 to 50 acres and costs $450 to $800 per acre. Several acres have been planted to oranges, lemons, grapefruit, and walnuts. This land has been divided into 5, 10, 15, and 20 acres and costs $750 to $1025 per acre. With the completion of Turnbull Canyon Road and townsite, the demand for and value of land will increase. The author then gives a list of those who have bought land in North Whittier Heights so Mr. Rice can contact them regarding the merit of the land and reputation of the company. The owner of North Whittier Heights will not accept an exchange for land as the cost to sell land throughout the country costs to much. The pages have been glued together in the top left corner. This object is in good condition overall.
