Description

A letter from an unknown author to A.G. Anderson in Weed, California. 3 August 1914. A typed, 2 page letter in response to a letter (2017.41.1.566) requesting information on citrus and walnut land in North Whittier Heights. A descriptive folder will be mailed under a separate cover. Unplanted land has been divided into tracts of 5 to 50 acres. This land costs $400 to $800 per acre. Several acres have been planted to oranges, lemons, grapefruit, and walnuts. This land has been divided into 5, 10, 15, and 20 acres and costs $700 to $1025 per acre. With the completion of Turnbull Canyon Road and the townsite, the demand for and value of North Whittier Heights is going to go up. Some of the most successful citrus growers have invested in the property. The author then lists people who have bought in North Whittier Heights. The author closes by inviting A.G. Anderson to the property, with no obligation to buy. The pages have been glued together in the top left corner, and there is discoloration on all sides. The first page has a hole in the top 1/3. This object is in good condition overall.
