Description
A letter from an unknown author to A.O. Johnson in Los Angeles, California. 18 June 1917. This is a copy of another letter from the HM collection (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1354). In response to Mr. Johnson's ealier postcard (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1344), Mr. Russell provides details regarding the tracts of land at the North Whittier Heights subdivision. Mr. Russell explains that the tracts range from 5 to 100 acres in size, are priced from $150 to $1,500 per acre, and have varying topographies. Mr. Russell specifies that some orange, lemon, walnut, and grapefruit orchards are available. Mr. Russell concludes by outlining the terms of sale and stating that Mr. Johnson will be sent a descriptive folder of the subdivision. With pin holes, minor tears, a fold, and moderate acid burns, the object is in good to fair condition overall.
