A letter from an unknown author to A.R. Chenoweth in Alhambra, California. 28 November 1917. The text "Sales Manager for North Whittier Heights" is present beneath the signature line. In response to Mr. Chenoweth's earlier phone call, the author states that he will not try to sell properties to Mr. Chenoweth if he is no longer interested. However, the author clarifies that, if Mr. Chenoweth simply does not want to buy sloped land, then there are level properties available which can be bought and used for avocado or citrus production. The author also states that the lands could eventually develop into oil properties. The author asserts that the original avocado property Mr. Chenoweth saw was offered to him for a bargain price when compared to similar properties in Southern California. With minor tears, minor acid burns, minor discoloration, creases, and signs of flaking, the object is in good condition overall.
