Description
A draft letter from an unknown author to Alex Gavin in Los Angeles, California, 21 March 1913. A descriptive folder of North Whittier Heights is being sent, which includes a map of Southern California showing the location of the property and a map showing the subdivided plots. Their land which was unaffected by the freeze has been divided into 1 to 10 acre tracts with 400 acres as rough land and 1400 acre of orange, lemon and walnut land being sold for $700 an acre if unplanted or $875 an acre if planted. Loan terms are giving and a possible townsite and a contract for orchard care is mentioned. There are a few corrections in pen and pencil on this letter. With holes from a straight pin, creases, and a tear, the object is in good overall condition.
