Description

A letter from an unknown author to Alex Nelson in Galesburg, Illinois. 8 January 1915. The letter informs Mr. Nelson that his inquiry about the North Whittier Heights citrus and walnut land subdivision has been received and that he will be sent a descriptive folder containing information about it. The author states that the subdivision is divided into tracts of varying sizes with unplanted tracts being priced from $450 to $800 per acre and planted tracts being priced from $775 to $1025. The planted tracts have been used to grow oranges, lemons, or seedless grapefruits. The author claims that the eventual completion of a boulevard from Whittier to Pomona boulevard will increase demand for the subdivision. The author concludes by suggesting that Mr. Nelson write to those who have invested in the property to hear about the property's merits or to tour the land if he is available. There is minor discoloration on the top and right sides of both pages and adhesive in the top left corner that is holding the document together. This object is in good condition overall.
