Description
A letter from an unknown author to B. Joseph in Birmingham, Alabama. 6 October 1914.
A typed, 2 page letter in response to a letter (object number 2017.41.1.620) requesting information on North Whittier Heights. The letter states that the land is high-class citrus and walnut land, and will support berries and vegetables as well. In fact many plant these crops between the trees for some extra money. The climate is also good for raising chickens and turkeys. Unplanted land can be bought at $400 to $800 an acre and planted land costs $750 to $1025 an acre. The company will care for the orchards for non-residents, for a minimum cost. The terms of sale are 1/5 down, 1/5 in 2 years and the balance in 5 years. The author will send Mr. Joseph information on the cost to run as well as profit costs for land in the area.
The pages are glued together in the top left corner and there is discoloration on the right side. This object is in good condition overall.
