Description
A letter from an unknown author to C.C. Collins in Santa Ana, California. 26 October 1916. The author states that he had a discussion with Mr. Hart regarding Mr. Colllins' concern, which was that Mr. Hart was buying and cleaning beans in order to act as a competitor. According to the author, Mr. Hart claimed that he bought and cleaned the beans at the behest of ranchers from the section, as they wanted to quickly fulfill one of their shipments. In addition, Mr. Hart apparently named Mr. R.L. Reynolds as the man to speak to about rental money for the packing house, and recommended contacting Mr. B.A. Miller of the Merchants National Bank about the beans in Fontana. With wear, minor acid burns, and minor tears, the object is in good condition overall.
