A letter from an unknown author to C.H. Merrill of the Torrance Marshall Company in Los Angeles, California. 9 June 1916. The author confirms that Mr. Merrill's earlier letter regarding the unpaid taxes in certain tracts of Lots 39, 51, and 3 has been received. The author admits that he is to blame for the unpaid taxes as, in the past, his company would pay for the second half of the taxes and subsequently send him a statement; thus, he had presumed that the second half was taken care of. The author promises to resolve this matter by July 1st. With ink stains, minor foxing, and a minor tear, the object is in good condition overall.
