A letter from an unknown author to C.H. Webster in Hibbing, Minnesota. 28 February 1919. The author explains that the engineer from his company had mistakenly computed the acreage of Lot 8, which Mr. Webster purchased, as being 4.24 acres when it is actually 4.528 acres. The author states that, at $800 per acre, the new price of the property will be $3,622, and that Mr. Webster should send a remittance amount of $3,122.40 to the escrow if he would still like to go through with the deal. The author also explains that a proportional charge of $9.64 for a domestic pipe line system will be included in the Whittier Extension Company's escrow demands, as the charge was not originally applied. The author states that a clause regarding the domestic water section of Mr. Webster's contract and a letter from the engineer will be enclosed with this letter. The author apologizes for not being able to speak to Mr. Webster before his departure. With folded corners, minor tears, severe discoloration, early signs of foxing, two holes, and a stain, the object is in fair condition overall.Lexicon
