A typed, 2 page letter responding to a postcard (object number 2017.41.1.356) asking for information on North Whittier Heights. A descriptive folder will be mailed under a separate cover letter. It will include a map of the tracts as subdivided, a map of Southern California showing the location of the property, as well as articles on the soil, water and climatic conditions of the land. The unplanted land has been divided into tracts of 5 to 50 acres and are being sold for $400 to $800 an acre. Several acres has been planted to Eureka Lemons, Valencia Oranges, and Marsh Grapefruit. These lands have been divided into tracts to 5, 10, 15, and 20 acres and are being sold for $750 to $1025 per acre. Several successful citrus growers and nurserymen have invested in North Whittier Heights show they have the conditions needed to develope "citrus groves that pay." The merit of the land, the modern townsite, and completion of the road running through Turnbull Canyon will increase the value of the land. The author looks forward to hearing from Mr. Baumgardner and hopes to be able to take him out to see the property. The pages have been glued together along the top, There are holes in the top left corner from a straight pin, a crease across the top from a fold, and discoloration along the top. This object is in good condition overall.
