Description
A letter from an unknown author to Ed. Martin in Puente, California. 16 August 1917. The abbreviation "GTR:G" near the signature line may refer to Grover T. Russell. The author states that he had forgotten to speak with Mr. Martin at the Valencia Heights Tract regarding a jack. The author explains that the jack could not be repaired and that he has therefore purchased another for $1.50, an expense which Mr. Martin should ask the Valencia Heights Land Company to cover. However, in the event that the company refuses, the author tells Mr. Martin that he does not need to cover the expense with his own money. With minor tears, minor acid burns, and minor moisture damage, the object is in good condition overall.
