Description
A letter from an unknown author to F.H. La Baume in Roanoke, Virginia. 28 October 1915. A two page, typed letter. The author confirms that Mr. La Baume's letter (Object ID: 2017.41.1.925) has been received and that he will be sent a descriptive folder of the North Whittier Heights subdivisions. The author lists the prices of the unplanted lands as ranging from $450 to $800 per acre and the planted lands as ranging from $700 to $1050 per acre depending on the location and crop. The author briefly details the terms of sale and suggests that Mr. La Baume can send an acquiantance to inspect the property, refer to entities such as the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, or, ideally, visit the property personally to learn its merits. The author states that the property is a desirable place for one to build a country home and that he is willing to provide more information if Mr. La Baume is interested. With adhesive in the top left corner which is holding the document together, minor discoloration, and minor foxing, the object is in good condition overall.
