Description

A letter from an unknown author to H.E. Waddell in San Francisco, California. 26 September 1916. A two page, typed document. The author confirms that Mr. Waddell's earlier letter (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1195) has been received and that he will be sent a descriptive folder of the North Whittier Heights subdivision. The author lists the prices of the unplanted lands as ranging from $300 to $800 per acre while the planted lands range from $700 to $1,250 per acre depending on the location and/or crop. The author summarizes the property's terms of sale and suggests that Mr. Waddell can refer to entities such as the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce or send an acquaintance to inspect the lands in order to determine the property's merits. The author states, however, that it would be more ideal for Mr. Waddell to travel to Los Angeles and see the property himself. The author offers to provide more information at Mr. Waddell's request. With adhesive in the top left corner which is holding the document together, two minor tears, minor acid burns, and minor foxing, the object is in good condition overall.
