Description
A letter from an unknown author to H.M. Jordan in Whittier, California. 30 January 1917. A two page, typed document. In reference to Mr. Jordan's earlier letter (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1279), the author briefly outlines his view of himself and his own life before discussing the Board of Directors and proposed packing house for the North Whittier Heights Citrus Association. The author states that he tendered his resignation from his directorship to eliminate any suspicions that the Whittier Extension Company desired to control the association's board. Nevertheless, the author explains that he was unpleased when, during the association meeting, a motion to vote between the resignation of the author or Mr. Jameson was conducted. The author states that he appreciates those who stood by him during the vote as well as Mr. Jordan's promise of support in the next election; however, he seems unsure of whether or not he will be put up for nomination in the future. With adhesive in the top left corner which is holding the document together, pin holes, a fold, minor tears, and minor acid burns, the object is in good condition overall.
