Description
A letter from an unknown author to H.M. Jordon [sic] in Whittier, California. 10 April 1916. The abbreviation "GTR/K" near the bottom of the document suggests that the author of this letter may have been Grover T. Russell. It is likely that the recipient was H.M. Jordan and that his family name was simply misspelled here as "Jordon." In response to Mr. Jordon's earlier letter, the author confirms that Mr. Jordon's $1.50 water check has been delivered to the Whittier Extension Mutual Water Company. The author requests to meet with Mr. Jordon to discuss certain matters. The author states that Mr. Jordon will receive his commission check as soon as Mr. Combs fulfills his other payment, and also states that he will see Mr. Jordon in a few days. With a minor acid burn, ink stains, and early signs of foxing, the object is in good condition overall.
