A letter from an unknown author to J. Hayes Miller in Los Angeles, California. 5 November 1914. A letter in response to a letter (object number 2017.41.1.638) requesting information on North Whittier Heights. A descriptive folder was mailed under a separate cover letter. Unplanted land has been divided into 5 to 50 acre tracts and costs $400 to $800 an acre. Several acres have been planted to oranges, lemons, grapefruit and walnuts and is divided into 5, 10, 15, and 20 acre tracts. This land costs $700 to $1025 an acre. With the completion of Turnbull Canyon Road and the townsite, the demand for and value of North Whittier Heights will increase. The author provides a list of those who have bought land so Mr. Miller can contact them regarding the merit of the land and reputation of the company. The letter is closed with an invitation to go out and see the property. The pages have been glued together in the top left corner and there is discoloration on the sides. This object is in good condition overall.
