Description

A letter from an unknown author to J.C. Brainard in Pasadena, California. 17 January 1914. A typed, 2 page letter in which the author is writing to see if J.C. Brainard will help sell property in North Whittier Heights. The author feels that the demand for citrus land is going to increase and they need the help to meet the demand. They are looking for citrus land salesmen. They are looking for high class investors who know the merit of the soil, water, climatic conditions, and location, who are looking to increase their holdings. The author would like for Mr. Brainard to come out to the property so the author can show him around. There will be a modern townsite opening soon as well as the completion of a road connecting Whittier and Pomona Boulevard. Also, about 175 acres that have been planted to Eureka Lemons, Valencia Oranges, and Marsh Grapefruits. The cost of these young groves will go up on the 1st of February and suggests if Mr. Brainard has clients interested in buying citrus land, now would be the time. The author closes the letter with hopes that Mr. Brainard can interest his clients in the North Whittier Heights subdivision. The pages have been glued together across the top. Page 1 (a) has discoloration along the top and right side, a brown spot on the right edge, and a stain in the top right corner. Page 2 (b) also has abrasion damage on the left side. This object is in good condition overall.
