Description
A letter from an unknown author to J.J. Engeldrum in Long Beach, California. 27 April 1916. A two page, typed letter. The author confirms that Mr. Engeldrum's earlier letter regarding a 50 acre property (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1085) has been received. The author states that the property is located in the San Jose Hills, has been prepared for bean planting, and is part of an old Spanish land grant. The owner has set the price at $250 per acre, but the author argues that its actual value is much higher. The author briefly describes the property's soil conditions and its water availability and clarifies that the owner would like an all-cash offer. The author states that he can show Mr. Engeldrum the property at his request. A handwritten note on the back of the second page lists various clients and their locations. With pin holes, creases, minor acid burns, an ink stain, minor foxing, and wear, the object is in good condition overall.
