Description

A letter from an unknown author to J.L. Blankenship in Dallas, Texas. 27 September 1917. The author states that Mr. Blankenship's earlier letter (Object ID: 2017.41.1.1381) has been received and that a copy of by-laws of the North Whittier Heights Citrus Association has been enclosed with this letter. The author also states that he is enclosing a shipping agreement between his company and the California Fruit Growers Exchange for Mr. Blankenship and his wife to sign. The author suggests that Mr. Blankenship can sign up his properties with the association as 5 acres and 8 acres respectively, and encourages Mr. Blankenship to acquire a license so that he can be paid commissions for furnishing clients in the future. In regard to the failed Gernert deal, the author claims that he provided a regulation contract, and that the clause about the removal of the building could have been waived at Mr. Scott's request. The author expresses, however, that he would like to put the matter to rest. With a severe acid burn across the front side, a fold, and two minor tears, the object is in good to fair condition overall.
