Description
A letter from an unknown author to J.S. Sayre in Alhambra, California. 6 October 1914.
A typed, 2 page letter giving information on North Whittier Heights. A descriptive folder was mailed to Mr. Sayre under a separate cover letter. Unplanted land has been divided into 5 to 50 acre tracts and cost $400 to $800 per acre. Several acres have been planted to oranges, lemons, grapefruit, and walnuts. This land has been divided into 5, 10, 15, and 20 acre plants and cost $700 to $1025 per acre. With the completion of Turnbull Canyon Road and a new townsite, the demand for and value of land will increase. Several citrus men have invested in North Whittier Heights which shows the merit of the land. The author then provides a list of investors and invites Mr. Sayre to contact them regarding the merit of land and reputation of company. The letter is closed with an invitation to go out and see the land.
The pages have been glued together in the top left corner, and there is discoloration on the top and right side. Page 1 has a crease in the bottom left corner. Page 2 has creases on the right edge and small tears on the right side. This object is in good condition overall.
