Description
A letter from an unknown author to L. Mac Blakenhorn of the Blakenhorn-Hunter Company in Pasadena, California. 14 July 1917. A two page, typed letter. The author explains that he is writing Mr. Blakenhorn about walnut groves in the Whittier Foothill belt and/or the North Whittier Heights-Puente section at Mr. Hart's request. The author states that Mr. Blankenhorn may be able to offer these groves to his client; however, since the values of walnut properties have been rising, the prices of the groves will likely change. The author also explains that it might be difficult to convince some owners to only sell 10 acres. The author lists available properties that range from 14 to 77 acres and that are priced from $450 per acre to about $1,500 per acre. Due to the shifting prices, the author suggests that Mr. Blankenhorn should come to see the properties with his client; at that point, either the author or Mr. Maple will try to make arrangements for a sale. With adhesive in the top left corner which is holding the document together, ink stains, mild acid burns, and two folds, the object is in good condition overall.
