A letter from an unknown author to Mary F. Jenkins in Pasadena, California. 16 July 1915. A two page, typed letter. The author confirms that Ms. Jenkins letter (Object ID: 2017.41.1.869) has been received and that she will be sent a descriptive folder of the North Whittier Heights orange, lemon, grapefruit, walnut, and avocado subdivisions. The author lists the prices of unplanted lands as ranging from $450 to $800 per acre and the prices of planted lands as ranging from $700 to $1055 per acre. The author mentions that $450,000 of the property has been sold since 1913. The author suggests that Ms. Jenkins can send an acquaintance to inspect the property or write to entities such as the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce to learn the merits of the property, though he specifies that it would be preferable for Ms. Jenkins to see the land herself. The author offers to provide more infomation if desired.
