Description
A letter from an unknown author to Mrs. B.G. Jackson in Long Beach, California. 27 March 1915. A two page, typed letter. Written text at the top of the page reads: "new city + [text hard to discern] copy." The author confirms that Mrs. Jackson's inquiry about the North Whittier Heights citrus and walnut subdivisions has been received and that she will be sent a descriptive folder. The author lists the prices of unplanted lands as ranging from $450 to $800 per acre and planted lands from $700 to $1055 per acre. The author also states that the water stock for each acre has a value of $150 per share. The author notes that he and his constituents are planning to subdivide a townsite on a portion of the property due to the completion of the North Whitter boulevard. The author suggests that Mrs. Jackson can refer to entities such as the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce or tour the property to learn its merits. The author also suggests that Mrs. Jackson can call his office to receive more information. With two small strike-throughs on the first page of the document along with notes/edits in pencil; staple holes in upper left corners of both pages; discoloration on the right sides of both pages; a small tear on the upper right sides of both pages; and adhesive in the top left corner holding both pages together, the object is in good overall condition.
